The Origins
And you, what would you do with a million? It’s the kind of silly question someone throws at you during a casual conversation. In the moment, you obviously toss out a dumb answer for laughs. Then, that night, lying in bed, the echo of that question creeps back. But seriously, what would I do with a million?
In reality, most of the time, when we think about what we’d do if we were millionaires, we’re really thinking about what we’d do if we could achieve our dreams by being “financially free.”
The double irony is that you probably don’t need to be a millionaire to make your dreams come true—we certainly aren’t—and even more, if you dedicate your life to living your dreams, you’ve got a good shot at attracting financial freedom.

There’s so much to say on this subject that I’ll probably give myself the chance to explore it further in another post. In any case, the idea for this trip, this epic road trip across the Americas, stems from Timothy Ferriss’s concept of the “dreamline”, tweaked a bit to my taste, as discussed in his book that I highly recommend: The 4-Hour Workweek. While you’re at it, I’d also suggest reading its counterpart, Choose Life by David Prince, where he presents a practical application… two books that truly blew my mind.
Of course, it probably also takes a certain dose of madness and a taste for adventure, but above all, it’s a deep desire for freedom and to set sail that drives us to embark on this journey.
Of course, it probably also takes a certain dose of madness and a taste for adventure, but above all, it’s a deep desire for freedom and to set sail that drives us to embark on this journey.
So, what’s the project?
Well, the project is to get rid of about 80% of our material possessions, pack our motorcycles with just what we need to be self-sufficient while staying as light as possible, and store the rest in a storage unit for our return… that is, assuming we decide to come back!
The motorcycles will ship out by boat mid September 2025 and we’ll fly out about twenty days later, landing in Montevideo, Uruguay. We’ll take the opportunity to explore this country, heading up toward Paraguay, then going all the way south to Ushuaia before riding back up through the Andes and continuing north. Anyway, I won’t spoil everything just yet, but we’re hoping to make it as far north as Canada, and who knows, maybe even Alaska, to go from one end to the other—why not?

And will you be riding motorcycles every day?
Well, we will indeed spend the majority of our time on our motorcycles, covering a small portion of the 42,000,000 km² that make up the Americas. But since we were a bit worried about getting bored, there will be not one, but two main themes running through this epic journey.
The first guiding thread of this adventure will be to meet as many bitcoiners and orange-pilled communities as possible. I’ll probably share, in future articles, my personal vision of Bitcoin, why I think it’s a revolution in so many ways, and why it’s becoming risky to ignore it.
I’ll leave the educational aspect of the topic to people who are already doing it very well—see the reference links. I’m just offering you some entertainment, an epic motorcycle adventure to meet bitcoiners from different horizons and discover their own perspectives on Bitcoin. We’ll navigate using BTCmap and Orange Pill App to identify local communities, businesses accepting Bitcoin payments, and bitcoiners near us throughout our journey.

The second guiding thread, suggested by some kenshi friends, will be to visit the kendo dojos we come across along our journey. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to bring our armor with us. However, we’ll pack our uniforms, hakama and gi, hoping to borrow some equipment on-site to practice with kendokas from the other side of the world! Even if we can’t train, it will still be enriching for us and our practice to spend time together.
And as the world is well-made, in the city of Rio Grande, at the far south of Argentina, just 200 kilometers from Ushuaia, there’s both a Bitcoin-friendly brewery AND a kendo dojo! A good beer and a pizza paid for in BTC after a kendo training session, at the very end of the world, is clearly a major milestone for this road trip.
