Adeline and Thomas, 38 and 39 years old, as of 2025. We've been together since we were 17, married in 2018. A slightly early midlife crisis hit us both, and we were seized by an irrepressible need to escape. So we decided to drop everything and head off on an adventure, to the ends of the earth, on our motorcycles.
Adeline
A little hyperactive and curious about everything, I'm always ready to take on new challenges. A year of studies in the United States, a law degree in hand, then a motorcycle licence, roller derby player and coach for nearly 10 years before trying kendo all the way to black belt and becoming addicted.
I seize every opportunity that comes my way and make the most of everything. Lazing on the beach during holidays is not for me — what I love is travelling on the road: hiking in the mountains, cycling or riding a motorcycle.
Thomas
An innovative tech entrepreneur, I took the Bitcoin orange pill around 2020 — a few mind-bending reads and it was an epiphany. I had to escape the hamster wheel. In 2023, I parted ways with the company I had co-founded 12 years earlier — it was time to explore the other side of the world.
A lifelong motorcyclist, I also dedicate a good chunk of my time to the Bitcoin rabbit hole, having co-founded the Bitcoin Economic Forum. And to unwind, nothing beats a good fight — 12 years of kendo, 4th dan.
